APRON feeders for the Australian market

AUMUND delivered two apron feeders delivered for a new crushing operation in a very remote area in Western Australia. This BPB type of feeders have a proven track record as highly reliable machines in extreme situations worldwide. The Australian feeders are designed for a continuous operation of 1100 t/h, conveying very abrasive iron ore.

The apron feeders are picking up the material directly for a feeding silo – and in case of maintenance can be separated by the silo though a needle gate designed and supplied by AUMUND. The complete feeder is hanged to the Silo structure and with a weighing cell system is also able to measure the material rate feeded into the crusher.

In order to minimize the installation time, the feeders have been supplied preassembled and tested in AUMUND manufacturing facilities – ready to be shipped and positioned into the iron ore mining process.
