Bulk material handling solutions for Indonesia’s growing minerals sector

Indonesia continues to invest significantly in the downstream processing of its mineral resources.
Alongside nickel, substantial investment is being directed towards copper, bauxite and other mineral commodities. At Mining Indonesia 2026, the AUMUND Group will present technologies from AUMUND Fördertechnik, SCHADE Lagertechnik and SAMSON Materials Handling for feeding, conveying, storage and loading of demanding bulk materials.

Indonesia

Investment in downstream mineral processing

Indonesia’s minerals sector continues to see significant investment in downstream processing. In the first quarter of 2026, investment in mineral downstream industries reached IDR 98.3 trillion. Nickel accounted for the largest share at IDR 41.5 trillion, followed by copper at IDR 20.7 trillion, with further substantial investment in iron and steel, bauxite and other mineral commodities.

For the AUMUND Group, mining and minerals have long been important fields of application. AUMUND, SCHADE and SAMSON provide solutions for conveying, storage, blending and loading of bulk materials, including abrasive or cohesive materials. Materials handled include bauxite, coal, iron ore, gold ore, copper ore and nickel ore.

Material-specific engineering

Engineered for your material

The characteristics of the material and the individual application play an important role in the selection and design of conveying equipment. In mining operations in particular, abrasive, coarse or cohesive materials can place specific demands on the systems used.

AUMUND Fördertechniks Heavy-Duty Apron Feeders are designed for handling rock and coarse materials and can be used, for example, in crusher feeding applications. The individual design is adapted to the material characteristics and requirements of the application.

SAMSON Materials Handling complements the portfolio with flexible solutions for material reception, transfer and loading. SAMSON Material Feeders enable the reception of bulk materials and their controlled discharge to downstream conveying systems.

The SAMSON Boom Feeder and Mobile Shiploader extend these capabilities to applications requiring flexible material handling, stockpiling or shiploading.

Stockyard technology

Storage, reclaiming and loading

SCHADE Lagertechnik contributes the AUMUND Group’s expertise in stockyard technology, with solutions for the storage, blending and reclaiming of bulk materials.

Together, the AUMUND Group technologies cover different stages of the material flow. Equipment is selected and configured according to the characteristics of the material and the requirements of the individual application.

Support continues throughout the lifecycle of the equipment. After Sales and revamp solutions provide opportunities to maintain existing installations and adapt them to changing operational requirements.
