AUMUND USA supplies SCHADE Stacker to PEMEX Refinery at Dos Bocas in Mexico

At the Port of Dos Bocas in Paraíso, in the Tabasco region of South-Eastern Mexico, the state-owned oil and gas company PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos) is building the largest oil refinery of its kind in the country, due for completion by the end of next year. ICA Fluor, the Mexican EPC partner on the project, has ordered from AUMUND Corporation, Atlanta USA, via the Fluor subsidiary Virta Inc., a Stacker and a Portal Reclaimer made by SCHADE Lagertechnik GmbH of Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Supply of the Stacker and Portal Reclaimer from SCHADE Lagertechnik, a member of the AUMUND Group, is planned for the first quarter of 2022. Both machines will operate in the petroleum coke stockyard at the Dos Bocas refinery. The Stacker with Tripper Car is designed for a capacity of 1,150 tph, and the Portal Reclaimer for 700 tph.

Virta Inc., based in California, is a Fluor Corporation company specialising in conveying technology and system engineering. AUMUND Corporation and SCHADE Lagertechnik worked closely with the Virta team to support the project development process. Virta Inc. will supply all belt conveyors and the complete engineering for this project.
