AUMUND opens branch office in Istanbul, Turkey

The AUMUND Group is further expanding its international presence and opening a branch office in Istanbul. With the official registration on February 9, 2026, the new branch of AUMUND Fördertechnik GmbH, headquartered in Rheinberg, Germany, is now officially registered as the “Istanbul Branch.”

Turkey is one of the significant industrial locations between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Especially in the areas of cement, building materials, energy, and bulk material handling, the market offers a dynamic environment with great potential. With the new branch, AUMUND lays the foundation for even closer cooperation with customers and partners in the region.

The local presence enables shorter response times, more intensive project support, and a direct contact person on site – from technical consulting to service offerings to long-term project development.

Management of the location

As of January 1, 2026, Mr. Ahmet Serhan Akbay has taken over the position of Head of Branch Office Turkey.

As a mechanical engineer with more than 18 years of industry experience, Mr. Akbay has extensive expertise in the fields of conveyor technology, automation, and technical sales. In senior sales roles, he was responsible for the Turkish market for many years and built sustainable customer relationships in demanding industries.

With his pronounced regional market knowledge and solid industry experience, he is taking on the establishment of the branch office in Istanbul and will significantly drive the strategic further development of activities in Turkey. His goal is to sustainably strengthen AUMUND’s market position and further expand long-term partnerships.
