FuelReclaimer
I In use for alternative fuels and biomass
The FuelReclaimer was developed over 30 years ago as a storage system for large volumes. Over time, the design has been adapted to the different requirements of the materials. The AUMUND FuelReclaimer used for stacking, storing, mixing and discharging refuse derived fuels is the result of many years of experience. It can be used to cover the sometimes difficult material properties of RDF/SRF/TDF/BPG/biomass and others.
The main advantages of the FuelReclaimer are:
- Modular design for expanding the storage area (boxes) from 2 to 7 in a row
- Simultaneous feeding and discharging of materials up to 400 m³/h
- Mixing of different materials by volumetric discharge of the downstream discharge screws. The different volumetric flow rates are ensured by adapted speeds.
- Individual boxes can be switched off or decoupled for maintenance purposes.
- As the FuelReclaimer is located at the top of the system, the alternative fuels can be piled up to a height of 10m.
- The storage box does not need to be emptied for maintenance of the FuelReclaimer: The FuelReclaimer is moved to the upper end position, where regular maintenance points can be reached with the aid of a maintenance platform.
- The mathematical volume of 1,000 m³ can be doubled to 2,000 m³ thanks to the self-compacting function with a 10m cone of material.
There are additional optimising factors, which improve the availability and lifespan of the Fuel Reclaimer. Electrohydraulic chain tensioning further minimises maintenance requirements. Integrated into the hoist mechanism of the loading, unloading and storage system are sensors, which enable early recognition of any possible misalignment of the machine, in order to prevent consequential damage.
Operating principle:
At the material feed stage the Fuel Reclaimer (in chain scraper / distribution conveyor mode) distributes the material and places it into the storage box evenly and without damaging it. The material fed into the feed area is pushed to the discharge by the conveyor. In addition to this gentle material transport, the power required by the drives is reduced to a minimum.
During material discharge, the FuelReclaimer pulls the material forward as it is unloaded from the box. There it is transported away by means of a downstream screw conveyor.
