9,200 kilometres away from his home ground, Robin Schäfer is completing his project work in Hong Kong. This is the last step before graduating as a Master of Science.

The headquarters of AUMUND Asia in Hong Kong has been the most exciting working and living environment of his life, and he is still there until the middle of December.

AUMUND Asia Hong Kong has a lot to offer for this topic in every respect; locations in 5 countries, 19 languages and 15 nations are coordinated from the subsidiary.  Robin: “I wanted as strong a contrast as possible to life in Europe. I was very interested in the booming Asia Pacific Region and particularly Hong Kong.”

The students do not just concentrate on their project work but they are considered an equally valued member of the team during the months of their stay. They organise meetings, collate and process information from projects and often work long days. Robin Schäfer says, “I haven’t yet had a day when I have felt tired or lethargic. Hong Kong keeps you on your toes.”

The weekends are devoted to enjoying the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes with inviting hikes and island hopping.

For Robin the complete package of project, teamwork and more has so far been an unparalleled experience. He says, “I feel good, enjoy every day and am convinced that I will have grown professionally and personally from this experience.”
